A graduate of Southern Utah University with a degree in Elementary Education, author Joe Garces is the father of three little boys who all happen to be crazy about the fire service. After several years of teaching, Joe is currently a professional firefighter for the Oxnard City Fire Department, in Southern California. Joe, and his wonderful wife Taira, live in Santa Paula with their three boys Tyler, Ryan, and of course, Garrett.

About The Illustrator

Bethaney Abercrombie is a Phoenix, Arizona native. She received an Art Education degree from Brigham Young University and a Masters degree in Art Education from Northern Arizona University. After teaching junior high school art for five years, she now stays at home to care for her four children. This is her second children's book.
